“When you arise in the morning, think of what a precious privilege it is to be alive, to breathe, to think, to enjoy, to love.”
Marcus Aurelius
I had a really great Friday. It was one of those Winter Wonderland snowy days filled with deer roaming by my windows. I have so many windows that it’s distracting when we get a beautiful storm with big lazy flakes. It snowed steadily all day, and knocked the power out in Douglastown and Newcastle for quite awhile, but I was snug as a bug in a rug.
We played a game in our team touchpoint and I tied for last place with my Manager. It was hilarious how horrible I was at figuring out the names of movies and television shows from the emojiis shared in the chat. My brain just doesn’t function that way, plus I hadn’t seen hardly any of the movies. I should watch more movies!
I also had a productive workday, for the first time in awhile. It has been really challenging to get back into the New Year after being sick and lethargic for so long, but today I got my groove back and passed in some assignments and handled some urgent unexpected tasks with ease and grace.
Made some interesting food choices today and couldn’t get outside at all in the blizzard, but still 60% completed or 9/15. Despite the ups and downs of these early days into the experiment, some of these things are developing into solid habits, which is exactly the point. I’m pleased.
