Went to bed super early last night, like SUPER early at 7 pm! I put my Fitbit on to charge and dozed until about 8:15, when I put it back on and settled in to sleep for real. I had two long sleeps followed by pee breaks BEFORE midnight. Fitbit registered 6 hours and 50 minutes of sleep, and I know I got at least an hour more when the Fitbit was charging. Yet, this morning was one of the first mornings this week when I needed the alarm to wake me, and I was feeling pretty sluggish. I often feel when I get the standard 8 hours rest that I’ve gotten too much sleep. I feel better between 5 and 7 hours.

The briefest walk of the week because Pat slept late and we didn’t get out until after the garbage truck had gone and we met cars on the road. Pat was frozen too. Very slippery frigid morning out there. Of course none of that matters, the main thing is that we went out, no matter for how long.

Holding steady with yesterday in the habit checklist 12/15.

  1. Drink water, matcha, green and hibiscus teas √
  2. Eat more vegetables and fruits than anything else
  3. Exercise √
  4. Go outside √
  5. Remember to stretch and squat √
  6. Read or listen to a book √
  7. Make your bed √
  8. Enjoy the little things √
  9. Be conscious and present √
  10. Live in a tidy place √
  11. Go outside √
  12. Try new things and give yourself permission to fail
