The simplest definition of a great bottle of wine is when you feel sad because the bottle is empty.

Today was my last day of work until Tuesday. So it was a flurry, trying to prepare for leaving. My last sort of long weekend until probably June and my birthday. I have had so much time off recently and I long to settle down and back into a routine and some daily structure.
I received my second shipment of alcohol free wine today. Nobody seems to understand my desire for such products. Why not just drink the real thing? There are a few reasons to shift away from alcohol. Less calories per glass, remain in control of myself so I don’t find myself giving in to food craving temptations, more conscious and mindful consumption leads to less wine drinks in a single sitting, my boyfriend doesn’t drink alcohol so now we can cheers and share moments, my liver will thank me.
Most people think of it is such a problem then why not just go sober and give it up. Well, I love wine! Like coffee and chocolate and avocado, I don’t think I want to live a life without wine in it. I like the taste, the food pairings, the experience of different wines. And if I can have all of that with half the calories, no hangover and without losing control, then why wouldn’t I?
I am ecstatic to have finally found some red 0.0% alcohol wines that I truly enjoy drinking. This is a habit and routine change that should have a huge impact.
Dropped back a bit, 9/15.
